In Berlin-Wilmersdorf, Bauwert AG is constructing a 7-story corner building with 37 apartments based on a design by Patzschke Architekten.
An attractive, sophisticated project that places high demands on waterproofing. “In the field of waterproofing, Triflex—with its ‘
Flüssigkunststoff ’—is a brand you simply can’t ignore,” says Michael Mohn, architect, partner, and office manager at Patzschke Architekten. Patzschke Planungsgesellschaft focuses 70% of its work on new construction, primarily in residential building, but its projects also include hotels and commercial buildings. Triflex systems are used, as in the current project, mainly on balconies, terraces, and pergolas.
In this context, details such as penetrations, connections to the building structure, complex geometric shapes, waterproofing under external coverings, and waterproofing of precast concrete elements for sound or thermal insulation play an important role. Triflex ProDetail is almost always used to address these challenges. This was also the case at the residential complex in Berlin-Wilmersdorf, where insulation baskets were waterproofed on all balconies.
Michael Mohn appreciates Triflex’s excellent product quality, but just as much the personal and competent support. The relationship with the assigned project manager is very good. Even when he needs feedback on technical details, the Triflex team responds promptly. All in all, it’s a strong partnership guided by the motto “Solved together.”
