Parking spaces in Düsseldorf’s city center are in high demand among residents, commuters, and tourists alike. In an underground parking garage located right next to a popular shopping street, renovation work became necessary—of all places, right at the entrance—due to a defective waterproofing system. The operator was keen to keep the parking facility operational during the renovation.

The use of Triflex liquid polymer systems made this possible: Because the material, based on polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), cures quickly, the work could be carried out in sections at night. Operations continued virtually uninterrupted while the contractor responsible renewed the surface protection on the asphalt ramp and the concrete substrate in the entrance area within just a few days. As part of this process, the contractor also applied new markings. As a result, thanks to Triflex ProPark and Triflex ProDetail, the underground parking garage entrance not only regained its functionality, but its aesthetics and safety were also enhanced.
