As part of an extensive renovation project, the underground parking garage at Spindlers Hof in Berlin-Mitte was to be fitted with, among other things, a wear-resistant coating. For the access ramps, a slip-resistant solution was required that could permanently withstand the high thrust and shear forces acting there and be compatible with the existing ramp heating system. To meet these requirements, the planners—the local firm Aukett + Heese GmbH—opted to use Triflex. The dynamically crack-bridging, poly Parkdeck -based (PMMA) Triflex ProDeck (OS 11b) coating system does not wear down even under heavy traffic. The special Triflex ProMesh reinforcement ensures even force distribution, minimizing movement of the substrate and thus the risk of cracking. The Triflex DeckCoat (OS 8) intermediate deck coating system increases the slip resistance of roadways and parking areas. The work was carried out by the skilled tradespeople at Dry Works Sonderbau GmbH in Hoppegarten, who have many years of experience with Triflex system solutions.
